Rose Pups 2012

The puppies are not so sure about posing for this photo shoot. Most of them did really well and cooperated nicely. They are at a really fun age now and we're hoping for some nicer weather, so that they can go outside.

The puppies are on the move now! It's amazing how fast they grow and change once they start eating dog food and are moved outside the whelping box. They are enjoying spreading out.

The puppies are enjoying their first meal of puppy mash (softened dog food with goat's milk).
Their eyes are open, however I'm not sure they see much more than shadows.

They are starting to play with one another.

The puppies continue to grow and gain weight. Their eyes will start to open in the next week.
The boys are pictured above and the girls pictured below.

Very content puppies snoozing after breakfast. They always want to be touching one another.

The picture below is a good example of puppies "in the zone".
In the picture below 2 of the puppies are patienly waiting their turn to eat, as Rose has just 9 nipples (most dogs have 10).

Last, but not least - I got up this morning and found an untagged puppy bringing the count up to 11 total puppies - 8 females and 3 males.

These two are females, bringing the total to 10 puppies for now.

Here's a couple more, one male and one female. The male (above) is the biggest so far.

The count is 4 females and 2 males and she had all of them in the last hour! That's really fast!

We have 3 girls in a row. She started at 4:00 p.m. Actually number 4 was just born and is also a girl.
